TGIF, 10/7/11 Edition

Friends, you may have noticed this week I've been a) MIA posting here on Meet Me in Philadelphia, and b) absent from the comments section of your blog posts.

Truth is, I'm going through some stuff...you know, the usual late-twenties "where am I going"-kind of stuff. It can all be linked to my career (read more about that here). I have been feeling lost, discouraged and unsure about what unique contribution I have to offer this world.

Then, I read this (Thanks, Kate):

Blog friends, I have nothing to lose, and I'm ready to see where this life of mine is headed.

  1. Oh, Ashley, it is so hard making your way in this world. I'm 38 and still have these feelings. But Steve Jobs should serve as such an inspiration for everyone. I've decided to quit worrying what everyone else thinks and just start decorating for people. It's what I've always wanted to do, but something (mainly myself) always got in the way. I hope you decide to do what you love and success will follow because you are so talented in so many ways! :) Take care & happy weekend.

  3. I totally relate. Some weeks I have absolutely nothing to offer and others I'm overflowing with creativity and energy. Perspective is always important.

    DesignPhiladelphia starts next week. Maybe that will help inspire you? Come to a few events with me!

  4. Ashley,my computer was down this weekend and I wanted to respond to this post so bad! I totally know where you are at right now. It is a tough place, but it is only a season. My mom used to say being confused is a good place to be, it is the place right before you learn something. That has always stuck with me. Take Care!
