A New Design Crush: Meg Lonergan of LeSueur Interiors

This weekend, I was flipping through the November issue of Better Homes and Gardens when I discovered a new-to-me interior designer that, if you don't already know, you should know: Meg Lonergan of LeSueur Interiors. A self-described believer in "floor to ceiling bookshelves, anything with a monogram, and tomato red, olive green, navy blue, turquoise, mustard yellow, and eggplant," this designer is a Southern lady with global tastes. Lonergan shares her inspiration on her blog, LeSueur Interiors Blog, and I've already pored over the older posts.

I thoroughly enjoyed perusing her portfolio on her site because each space had a well-traveled, well-collected and well-considered feel about it. Perhaps you'll agree:
Not surprisingly, Lonergan's own home has style in spades. But what interests me most is her ability to pair high and low items seamlessly. For instance, she found the chairs in her living room in a dumpster (!) and covered them in high-end designer fabric. What an eye!

Needless to say, I love the rest of her home...and I suspect after seeing these images, you will, too.
This designer is also a new mom!
For her son she created a classically-beautiful nursery that would work for either a boy or a girl.

Aren't you in love now, too? Or, perhaps you were already clued in to this talented gal's style!
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Meg Lonergan and LeSueur Interiors soon!

  1. Funny, I was just flipping through BH&G at the store the other day and spied her house too. Love! I think I've seen her featured somewhere else before because I recognized her stacked IKEA shelves with bullseye mirror. I'm off to get lost in her blog and portfolio now. We're are so on the same wavelength!

  8. She's new to me too, Ashley. Let me tell you, it makes me smile to no end to think of you, Fran, and me all flipping through our new issue of BHG and stopping dead in our tracks to study that double high Ikea bookcase.

  10. I too flipped through the BHG at the checkout the other day (during the hurricane rush here in the Northeast). I stopped right at the bookshelves and mirror. Loved the look of the whole article.
