Quick & Easy Halloween Pumpkin Treat Bags

Tomorrow is Halloween and, while I'm not much for decorating with witches, bats or ghosts, I did get into the Halloween spirit by prepping a quick and easy treat bag to hand out.

My pumpkin treat bags are a variation on this idea from Martha Stewart, While Martha's used crepe paper, mine utilized $1 orange napkins from Target's "One Spot". Each package contained 20 napkins so, with a roll of green floral tape, these treat bags were less than $5 total.

I laid out a napkin and placed a few pieces of candy at the center of the napkin.

Next, I gathered all four corners of the napkin and pulled them to the center of the napkin.
The last step was to stretch and wrap the sticky floral tape around the gathered corners of the napkin, creating a stem at the top of each pumpkin pouch.

All done! I've created quite a little patch of pumpkin pouches for our trick-or-treaters.

This is our first Halloween in our house, which means it's really the first time we've had trick-or-treaters. Perhaps I thought a bit too much about handing out candy, but I hope our ghoulish little visitors tomorrow night enjoy them (if not, I hope their parents do!).

P.S. Don't forget to enter my Sofa.com US pillow giveaway! Contest ends Friday morning!
