I've been a busy little bee lately and have made the most of frigid temperatures and 14+ inches of snow by working on various spaces around the house. If you follow me on Instagram (which you should, btw), you'll know that I spent a snowy morning last week repainting our guest bedroom and reworking the room with pieces I [mostly] had on hand.
Though the space is about 95% there, I wanted to share a couple of sneak peeks of the room, now swathed in a relaxing minty-blue ("Palladian Blue" by Benjamin Moore). The wall color echoes the tones in the accent pillow resting on the bed (Parlor Textiles' "Winter Floral" pattern).

Adding a healthy contrast to the soft wall color are the rich oxbood lamp and walnut furniture, most of which I had before I started this little redo. There are just a few more details left to put into place--namely, pictures to be hung and a little styling--before I show you the rest. I can't wait!Happy Monday, friends! I've missed you.
How have you been keeping yourself busy this crazy-cold month?
P.S. Be sure to come back tomorrow--I want to chat all about a book I received for Christmas and devoured in a few days--it's all about blogs, homemaking, and the DIY lifestyle.
This looks beautiful! That color has been on my radar, so it's fun to see up on the walls - it's lovely.
ReplyDeletetell me where you had the glass top fitted for your skirted table? I'm so clueless where to start. I called a glass company once and the quote was outrageous.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing as Julia. I love the color and your styling and can't wait to hear about this book!
ReplyDeleteI'll email both you and Julia with the details on the glass!
DeleteThe color is beautiful! When I can I be your guest?
ReplyDeleteCan I just say, I so love your style. :) Glad your back!
ReplyDeleteMY sisters bedroom is Palladian blue , I love it!! I have to be in Philly next week for my daughters visit to ST Josephs U, I have 8 hours to kill...help! Any suggestions? Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteSt. Joe's is so close to my house! I'll email you some ideas, Karolyn.
DeleteSuch a pretty, soothing color! Looking forward to seeing the rest.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wall color, and I love that lamp. The contrast in textures on the lamp table is very interesting. Can't wait to see the whole room.
ReplyDeleteAh, lovely. So fresh and chic. So you!
ReplyDeleteReally love that color - we had repainted our kitchen in our old house in Conshohocken BM Wythe Blue and I believe Palladian Blue is the next step down on that chip (if my memory serves me correctly). It also reminds me a lot of Woodlawn Blue which we did in Sheila's room. You always have such a great balance of cool and warm in your spaces - I love that. We've been working to declutter at our house and make better use of our space. It's tough when there are toys everywhere but baskets are becoming my BFF - put all the toys away in baskets once the kids are asleep. Looking forward to seeing more. Oh and also hearing about the book. I''ve been making a point to turn off the TV and open up a book or magazine at night. I just started Nate Berkus' "The Things That Matter" and enjoying that so far.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love Palladian Blue. Can't wait to see what you've done with the space, AShley!!!
ReplyDeleteAshley, just beautiful! The color is perfection and goes wonderful with your Parlor textiles fabric. I love how all your spaces are so original and fresh. You should do this full-time (and I am sure I am not the only one that has told you that)!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric on that chair and pillow are to die for..I really think I'm in love. Such a relaxing room.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adore your stacked mirrors. Gold against Palladian Blue -- now there's a divine combination.
