Today is my thirtieth birthday.
There have been a few significant birthdays before, but this one feels especially important to me. Starting a new decade with confidence and grace inevitably invites reflection on the years that have passed. So on this day, I'm sharing a little bit more about me (plus a few pics of me through the years) as I cross into a brand new decade of Ashley.

Our Vintage Jadeite Bathroom {The Reveal}
I first posted the plans in November, and at that time it was our goal to have the space completed for Christmas houseguests. Well, our visitors came and went while the bathroom languished. We struggled with uncooperative plumbing, speciality parts (the complexity that comes with working with original 55 year-old fixtures) and post-holiday exhaustion. But, today, here we are!

My Rope-Wrapped Tables Featured on Apartment Therapy!
Yesterday, I got a pleasant surprise: my DIY rope-wrapped side tables were featured on Apartment Therapy as February's "Project Month"!
I submitted the project to them about a month ago and wasn't sure if/when it would appear, so I was happy to have it accepted and shared with millions of faithful AT readers.
If you're new around here, I shared the entire DIY process here last June. What a great mid-week surprise, huh?

Ben Pentreath {A Favorite from Across the Pond}
Have you ever come across an interior designer whose entire body of work speaks to you? I have and his name is Ben Pentreath. Pentreath, if you aren't already familiar, is a British designer, architect and shopowner with a traditional English sensibilities that translate to this American Yankee.
