Patterns are a recurrent element throughout my home and I thought it would be fun to share with you a photo survey of many (though not all!) of my favorites.

Why am I so drawn to patterns and prints?
Part of the appeal of prints and patterns is that they serve a seemingly contradictory purpose: they add layers of coziness and comfort while also adding visual interest and excitement.

If you scanned your home, would you find a lot of patterns and prints too? Can you relate?

P.S. Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday. Blogger did not want to cooperate...just as it did last Friday.

  1. You do have a lot of patterns and they all come together so nicely. Wish I took more chances with patterns.

  5. You've done a great job mixing and matching patterns. It is such a phobia of mine! I'm trying to get better though and hope to incorporate lots of pattern into our new family room. I just don't want it to look like a big mess.

  6. I wish I were more like you. I have the hardest time with pattern and fabric in general. It is the area of design in which I am a complete idiot! You should consider a tutorial...

  9. I love that your mix is so eclectic, but goes so perfectly together in one home. Curious to see how you might use that one in your guest room.
