Hello from the wilds of Canada!
As I type this, I am 'unplugged' for all intents and purposes (connecting only with you via a tethered Blackberry), and that leaves a lot of time open for my favorite summer pursuit. No, not swimming or camping or boating or canoeing...I'm talking about summer reading.
Here's a sampling of what I'm enjoying during this week off:
In case you can't see, they are: A Prayer for the City by Buzz Bissinger; Silent Spring by Rachel Carson; The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald; Death at an Early Age by Jonathan Kozol. By the titles you can tell I'm into "light" reading.
For more design-related reading material, I'm dying to get my hands on these books:
(The Perfectly Imperfect Home by Deborah Needleman)
(Mrs. Delany and Her Circle by Mark Laird)
(Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney)
What books are on your summer reading list?
I kind of wanted to not be excited to the D*S book, but after seeing everything that's going to be included in it last week, I really want it too! Happy reading!
ReplyDeletesounds delightful!! Enjoy the week.
ReplyDeleteI love summer reading lists! Thanks for sharing yours and I hope you're having a blast in Canada. I just finished Jonathan Tropper's This is Where I Leave You and just started American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld. Love JT's book and so far AW is great. Not too heavy though. I definitely need a new design book and have been pondering the Deborah Needleman one!
