A Collection of Pottery

Since last week, I have been a busy little bee deconstructing and now replacing built-in shelving in my guest bedroom. I'm really excited to share this project in a week or two, once the shelves are painted and styled. The shelves will display a collection of vintage cream vases and planters (many are McCoy) that I gathered for the tables at our wedding. This collection holds a special spot in my heart and, as such, it deserves a place of honor in our home.

Collections of anything, pottery or otherwise, are most impactful when they are grouped together rather than dispersed throughout a space. I found a number of beautiful images of pottery collections that got my wheels turning for my own display.

Do you collect pottery? Or anything?
How do you choose to display your collections?

  1. Hi Ashley! I just stumbled upon your delightful blog. Would love for you to go to Clover Market in Ardmore on the 15th. I will have a space there along with over 100 other vendors selling all kinds of vintage goodness! It's a flea like no other. If you go, be sure to look for me, I love meeting other bloggers. I'm your newest follower!

  2. Hmmm. I guess I don't have a collection of anything significant. Just as well, because then I'd have to come up with a solution for displaying them :)
Looking forward to seeing your display shelves once completed. Oh, and by the way, I saw your feature in Ivy and Piper recently! You go girl! What a cool article :)

  3. I do love a collection. Not sure that I have one, but love seeing similar items grouped in mass. Makes such a great display!

  4. I love these collections displayed all together...makes me want to get into my cabinets and pull out my milk glass collection...or go shopping for some new pieces to display! Take care, Caroline

  5. Love the blues and greens of those collections.

Don't collect much of anything (no room).

  6. LOVE pottery collections! I have a small one going that is continually growing.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
