The pillow print is one we all know and love, David Hicks's La Fiorentina; but what really got my imagination going was the neutral ikat upholstered wingback it was combined with.
So, I got to thinking: wouldn't this:
(Sister Parish's Tucker, my chosen chair fabric)
look fab with this?:

Just yesterday afternoon (when I should have been hard at work), I scooped up a remnant of Herbert's Carnation on Ebay, enough for my own little lumbar pillow.
The print combination might be wee bit wacko, but I like it.

It'll look fabulous, Ashley!
ReplyDeleteoh my, it will look gorgeous! and this reminds me I have a small remnant of this fabric somewhere! yeah, thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeletenot wacky at all. It will look so good!
ReplyDeleteI've got to get back to ebay to check out more remnants.
Fun, not too wacky, besides, you don't want to be boring! WEEEEEE
ReplyDeleteI love this combo - very chic. You don't see Herbert's Carnation as often which makes it unique in my book. I also love David Hicks' La Fiorentina and long to have the coral/brown version in my home one day. You've inspired me to go check eBay!
